Purpose
The purpose of this bulletin is to provide a brief introduction to polarization maintaining fibers and to draw attention to several application-related issues. The bulletin is intended for both users and manufacturers of polarization maintaining fiber and was prepared by TIA subcommittee 6.9 – PM Fiber, Connectors and Components.
