This document is intended as an aid to the designer when measuring operating temperature of lamps and ballasts in luminaires under either laboratory or field conditions. It covers only thermal measurement of fluorescent lamps and ballasts in luminaires. Its purpose is to aid luminaire designers in achieving optimum performance of these components in given applications.
