Room air-conditioners for all climates defined as ‘encased assemblies primarily for mounting in a window or through a wall, or as a console’. Prescribes the construction requirements for cooling capacities generally up to 3 ton-refrigeration (36 000 Btu/h). Specifies a type test to be carried out by the room calorimeter method described in BS 2852, and production tests for the electrical equipment.
